I am raising money to allow me to be part of the Mellon Educate Building Blits 2024, where I will be helping to build a school in one of the Townships surrounding Cape Town, South Africa.

So, after a few years break, I have decided to go for it again!  Mad?  Maybe, but completely focused on returning to Cape Town, SA., to be a small part of the community of amazing people building two schools in one of the townships just outside the city.   This year I am joining the plastering team.  I am hoping that my extensive cake decorating experience will allow me to be a useful member of the plastering team.  The plastering team are probably hoping that I won’t be able to find them!!!

This is where you lovely people come in…to get there I need to raise €4250.  This money will  enable the charity to build the schools which will give the children in the township a better education and the hope of a better future.  If you can donate any amount, big or small, it will go towards laying the concrete, building the walls, putting roofs on, creating playgrounds, toilet blocks and school kitchens and painting the buildings.

All donors will be afforded the honour of naming one of my many anticipated blisters – photos will be provided on request.
