We keep personal information for different lengths of time dependent on the purpose. For example, we do not remove volunteer records as lapsed volunteers may wish to hear of milestone events that they would wish to be a part of.

NOTE: removal of any current volunteer’s information could compromise their participation in the Building Blitz.
Personal data and special category data of UK volunteers, requested on the Blitz Application Form and by Mellon Educate (UK), is shared with Mellon Educate in Ireland. Under UK GDPR, the legal basis for this is Contract – Article 6 (1) (b) and Employment – Article 9 (2) (b). Your information is never shared with Mellon Educate South Africa or any third party, other than for securing hotel and (if relevant) flight reservations. The only exception to this would be where there was a lawful reason for your information to be provided to the police, regulatory bodies or legal advisers. Your information will be kept confidential to Mellon Educate. We never provide or sell your personal details with third parties for the purpose of marketing.
We are committed to comply with the standards set by the GDPR and this privacy statement at a minimum.
The security of your information is of utmost importance to us. We seek to use reasonable measures to protect your information as required by the law and in accordance with the policies Mellon Educate has set.
